Why should I own a copy of this Siddur?

You may be asking yourself, “Why should I own a Siddur? My congregation uses a different Siddur and although Siddur Eit Ratzon is appealing, we are unfortunately not going to be using this Siddur in our services in the foreseeable future. Moreover, the only time I pray formally is when I’m at services. So there’s no point in my owning a Siddur.”

But there is. This is a Siddur that you can use to become better informed about the services. You can use it for study, reflection, and inspiration at home. And, if you have like-minded friends, you can use the Siddur as a basis for discussions about the morning service, Jewish prayer, spirituality, or the theology of the prayerbook.

You can use the commentaries to help you follow the services, the transliteration to help you learn the words that are chanted, and the translations and meditations to help make the service more meaningful.
